Sometimes, it can feel like soccer = life. The time and dedication our players and families invest is significant. On Friday night, we were reminded that soccer is more than just a sport—it’s also about the power of community and the strength of the human spirit. Earlier in the day, one of our own faced an unimaginable loss—Bella Seidenstucker’s father, Kurt, passed away following an unexpected cardiac event. In the face of such heartache, Bella chose not only to honor her father by stepping onto the pitch but also to captain and lead her G10 ECNL teammates.
Supported by the Washington Premier FC soccer community and surrounded by an incredible crowd of family, teammates, and friends, Bella played nearly the entirety of the game, capping it off with the team’s final goal.
We are in awe of Bella’s strength and will continue to support her and her family as they navigate this difficult journey. To her father, Kurt, thank you for raising such an incredible daughter. You will always be in our hearts. ❤️⚽
