(Dec 12, 2016) Oh, what a year it has been for soccer in Seattle. We just wrapped up the 2016 MLS season, and our beloved Seattle Sounders just brought home their first MLS Cup in a magical worst-to-first season after an intense defensive championship match in Toronto. At Eastside FC, we can't help but celebrate our favorite Seattle Sounder, Jordan Morris, who worked his way onto the team and helped the Sounders win a few games along the way. Jordan Morris is wrapping up a dream year.
In 363 days, our favorite current Sounder checked a lot off his soccer to-do list. During that time, he went from college junior at Stanford to professional soccer player with the MLS, and was the first ever to win the tetrad of NCAA Div 1 championship, the MAC Hermann trophy, the MLS Rookie of the Year title and the MLS Cup. And, we're not even including on the list the great stuff he has done with the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
Morris's success is well-deserved. We wish him the very best in 2017. We'll certainly be watching!
